| COBRA was born in Holland but carries the genes of the Holsteiner top progenitors CARTHAGO Z, LANDGRAF 1 and COR DE LA BRYERE.
Cobra is one of the few approved sons of the world renowned Olympic Jumping Stallion Carthago Z (Jos Lansink), that, in 2000, was withdrawn from breeding due to infertility.
Carthago Z is a phenomenon in breeding considering the large number of his progeny that are achieving at International level from his short time at stud.

The International Showjumpers, Tulip, Candyman, and Felice are Carthago’s most well known progeny. Cobra’s Dam, S-Ladalca is recorded equally as the dam of the famous International jumping stallions Jadalco (by Fabio 1). The successful jumping stallion Eurocommerce Napels (ridden by Gerco Schroder) is a three parts brother to Cobra. Eurocommerce Napels goes back to the dam’s side via Alme Z in a direct line to S-Ladalca. He is also a half brother to Versace who was awarded 5 year old Champion of France 2007.
From this broadly branched Holstein line comes more than forty approved stallions and a large number of sport horses including Marmor, Lennon, Leonardo I, and II, Chamberlain and Classiker. Cobra is making full use of his genetic potential by claiming many victories.
Just as this incredible pedigree suggests, Cobra jumps in an uncomplicated, easy manner with a lot of scope. In every jumping round his co-operative character is a shining example of attitude and intelligence. |

At the World Championships for 5 year olds in Lanaken 2002, Cobra was Reserve Champion. He bettered this top performance yet further in 2003 by winning the World Championships for 6 year olds in Lanaken ridden by Mathijs van Asten.
After his World Championship success, he continued on to win the stallion Competition in Zuidbroek, and 1.40m in Zelhem.
Cobra started jumping at 1.50m level with Peter Geerink and had several high placings.
He is continuously winning and being placed in 1.50m competition, including the Boswell Grand Prix League Final, Ireland 2007. Every time he jumps, he wins!
Lissava Stud are proud to stand such a World Class stallion at their stud in Ireland. He is jumping with tremenduous success on the Irish Grand Prix circuit. Combining endless scope and carefulness, with a super temperament and winning attitude, Cobra is the stallion to breed winners every year.
Progeny by Cobra are already showing their incredible talent, combining both movement & jumping ability. The 3 year old Loose Champion of Finland 2008 was a colt by Cobra.
