Necker Platiere descends from the old French bloodlines that are now becoming very hard to find. He is by the famous showjumping sire GENTLEMAN PLATIERE who was campaigned on the International Showjumping circuit by French rider Eric Navet. He was successful in numerous 1.60 Grand Prixs with Navet, including the Euro Prix Cheval Liberte, CSI4* Porte de Versailles, & 1st 60,000 Euro Grand Prix, Franconville, FRA Gentleman Platière 2005. Gentleman Platiere was sired by Jalisco B who is also the sire of famous stallions such as; QUIDAM DE REVEL, QUITO DE BAUSSY, DOLLAR DU MURIER, ALLEGRETO to name but a few.
Necker Platiere’s dam OPALINE PLATIERE is by the old French breeding of QUASTOR who is by IBRAHIM. Quastor was an International showjumper himself and is the sire of FAIR PLAY II, who in turn is the sire of NARCOS. Orlando (jumping with Darragh Kerins for Ireland) his granddam sire Gibramino is a full brother of the Quastor. OPALINE PLATIERE is also the dam of BAEKEN PLATIERE, who jumped at World Cup level with Michel Hecart. He was 2nd in the Dublin Horse Show International Grand Prix in 1995 beating famous Showjumpers such as Carling King (Kevin Babington), Showtime (Nick Skelton), Peter Pan (Neal Fearon). She is also the dam of International Grand Prix showjumper GALINE PLATIERE, who jumped for Italy.
Necker Platiere was Champion 3 year old in loose jumping at the National Championships in France 2004. He was placed in numerous classes as a 4, 5 & 6 year old including 3rd & 5th in the 6 year old championships CSI **** in Arezzo, Italy 2007.
